the location was acceptable, also, the rooms are comfy.
the receptionist was so rude to our friends. he wouldn't accommodate our friends request for same floor. this was rectified following day but it still upset me, I don't like that.

I found the lack of soundproofing unacceptable. I could clearly hear conversations and hallway noise. it also seemed odd that a hotel of this caliber charged extra for basic amenities like water bottles in the room. this policy felt rather nickel-and-dime, detracting from the overall experience..

the hotel's location was great for exploring nearby attractions. the gym had adequate equipment. i found the staff generally helpful . it.
the public restrooms near the bar needed more frequent attention.

the front desk was efficient! the staff was friendly and ready to assist with questions, though getting bags to the room took about one hour after the request. bell staff were helpful.

the location was near the sfmoma and union square. it was also close to metro and cable cars. the hotel is outside of the main tourist area, but it is in a safe location.
